Unwanted records for Al Hilal despite winning the SPL title

Al Hilal were crowned as the champions of the Saudi Professional League for the second consecutive season after and for the fourth time in the last five years. 

The Blue Waves secured the title in Matchday 29 after a thrilling season with Al Shabab and Al Ittihad, despite that Al Hilal were not on their best form.

Al Hilal were defeated five times in the season, before celebrating the title on the winning podium. Also, Al Hilal failed for the first time to defeat Al Shabab, Al Ittihad, Al Nassr, and Al Ahli in home and away games. 

Also, Al Hilal set another unwanted record after conceding nine defeats in the previous season, and this was the biggest number of defeats that the Blue Waves suffer in one season.
