Al-Ahly Egypt submits an offer to sign Sereno from Sun Downs for $ 2.5 million

The Egyptian club Al-Ahly has approached the Uruguayan winger Gaston Sereno, the playmaker of the South African Sun Downs team, after he made an official offer to sign the player during the past hours.
Al-Ahly made an official offer to contract on Friday evening, with a value of $ 2.5 million, to buy the contract for the Uruguayan player Sereno, who stuck to join the ranks of the Cairo giant, in the next winter Mercato, and the Sun Downs management welcomed his departure after he refused to participate in the African Champions League matches so as not to hinder him from playing With Al-Ahly in the same tournament.
It is scheduled that Al-Ahly will settle the Sereno deal in the coming days, and he will be registered in place of the Angolan Geraldo da Costa, who left the accounts of the technical staff of the Al-Ahly club, in light of the lack of need for his efforts.
Sereno, the 29-year-old adhered to his refusal to stay inside the Sun Downs, explicitly declaring his desire to join the Egyptian Al-Ahly club, during the Mercato winter, after his transfer deal failed during the summer transfer market.
Uruguayan winger Gaston Sereno played with R Ndowns last season, 41 matches in various tournaments, during which he scored 13 goals and provided 10 assists.
Sereno started with the Uruguayan team, Rambla Juniors, but he did not last long to experience in Chile with the San Felipe team, then he moved to the San Luis team in the 2015-2016 season.
Sereno station in Chile was suspended in the 2016-2017 season, with his departure to the Bolivarian team, Bolivar in a free transfer deal, to be a special experience for the player after he scored 18 goals in 41 matches.
January 2018 witnessed the departure of Sereno from Chile for a new experience in the African continent, specifically playing for Sundowns, which was not easy for the Uruguayan player.
But the Uruguayan star shone remarkably and caught the attention of Al-Ahly club officials, who quickly opened the door for negotiations to join him, but all the hopes that were related to his inclusion clashed in the end with the adherence of Sun Downs officials to the player.
