FIFA decided to appoint a tripartite committee to manage the Egyptian Football Association, after completing the work of the previous committee headed by Amr El Ganaini, Gamal Mohamed Ali, and Sahar Abdelhak.

FIFA’s decision came to appoint Ahmed Mujahid as chairman of the tripartite committee, and the members will be Mohamed Al Shawarby and Ahmed Hussam Awad.

The Egyptian Football Association had received a letter from FIFA yesterday, Thursday, informing it of the end of the current five-year committee work and the appointment of a tripartite committee of new people.

The text of the letter addressed by Fatma Samoura, Secretary-General of the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA): “To Amr Al-Ganaini, Chairman of the Five-Year Committee of the Egyptian Football Association … with reference to our letter on November 30, in which we notified you of the decision of the FIFA Congress office to extend the term of the committee. The five-year term until January 31, 2021, with the number of committee members, reduced to 3.

With all due respect, we would like to express our continued appreciation to you and all members of the Committee for the great work that has been accomplished since the start of your appointment in difficult circumstances.

In this context, and in order to give a new Hamas opportunity to complete the rest of the tasks assigned to the committee, we decided to appoint 3 new members instead of the current five-year committee, and the Egyptian Federation will be informed of their names in a short time. We thank you for your interest and we thank you again for what you have achieved. “
