The AFC cancels two new tournaments due to the Corona pandemic

 The AFC has decided to cancel the AFC U-16 Championship 2020 in Bahrain, and the AFC U-19 Championship 2020 in Uzbekistan.

The next edition of the two championships will be held in the same host countries, with Uzbekistan hosting the AFC U-20 Cup, while Bahrain will host the AFC U-17 Cup.

It is noteworthy that FIFA decided earlier to cancel the Under-17 World Cup and the U-20 World Cup 2020, after taking into account the health and safety of young players in Asia due to the Corona pandemic and taking into account the risks of the current pandemic.
