Qatar to host 2021 FIFA Arab Cup

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has officially announced that the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup will be held in Qatar.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated that this tournament will reveal Qatar’s abilities and preparations, before the FIFA 2022 World Cup.

The 2021 FIFA Arab Cup will include 22 teams, as 12 of them will be from Africa while 10 of them will be from Asia.

On a similar note, Qatar national football team headed to Hungary’s capital Debrecen in order to participate in the European qualifiers for 2022 World Cup.

FIFA allowed Qatar to participate in the European qualifiers in order to improve the team’s performance as part of Qatar’s preparations for the 2022 World Cup.

 Qatar are set to face Luxembourg on March 24, Azerbaijan on March 27, and Ireland on March 30.
