Ahead of Saudi derby..Karasev recalls his memories in SPL

The Russian referee Sergei Karasev commented on the Saudi derby between Al Hilal and Al Nassr, ahead of their upcoming game in the Saudi Professional League.

“Saudi Arabia is a country that adhere to Islam’s rules. The football fans do not insult each other and they do not use any fire works. This is something that is hard to be achieved in the world of football.”

“However, playing their is so intersting. When you start the warming up on the field, you will find everyone smiling to you and waving to you in a friendly way. Also, the derby’s atmoshere was very beautiful and astonishing.”

Karasev officiated the derby between Al Hilal and Al Nassr in 2015, which Al Hilal won 2-1 and clinched the SPL title.
