The Egyptian Football Association requests to host the 2021 African Champions League final

The Egyptian Football Association submitted a request to nominate the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to host the 2021 African Champions League Final.

The Confederation of African Football, the Confederation of African Football, had previously approved the playoff system in the final scene of the two continental competitions, the African Champions League and the African Confederation Championship.

The Egyptian Football Association announced that it has also submitted a nomination request to host the African Nations Cup for Youth U-20, to be held in 2023 and qualify for the World Youth Cup, to be held in Indonesia in the same year, and it is expected that Egypt will be represented in it by a team born in 2003.

The Egyptian Federation is expected to complete the rest of the nomination conditions, foremost among which are government approvals, in the event that CAF approves the candidacy application.

The Algerian Football Federation has also submitted a formal request to the Ministry of Youth and Sports so that Algeria can host the final of the African Champions League and Confederation Cup competitions for the current season.

The final of the last version of the Champions League was held on Egyptian soil between Al-Ahly and Zamalek, while the Confederation Cup final was held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, between Nahdet Berkane and Pyramids.

It is expected that “CAF” will decide on the candidacy files that will be deposited by the countries wishing to host the two finalists, before approaching the final rounds of the two competitions.
