Zamalek’s Mahmoud Alaa to face injury setback

Zamalek have announced that their defender Mahmoud Alaa will be sidelined due to suffering an injury in his hamstring muscle.

Alaa will start his rehabilitation program to recover from his injury, Zamalek stated.

Moreover, the White Knights will resume their training sessions on Tuesday, as part of the team’s preparations for Talae’a El Gaish’s game in the Egyptian Premier League, scheduled on Thursday.

Additionally, Patrice Carteron, the team’s head coach said that he will ask the Egyptian Association of Football to hold the team’s match against Ismaily in the Egyptian Cup to Alexandria instead of Suez, due to the team’s overwhelming schedule.

On a similar note, Ibrahim Abdullah, the club’s board member, stated that Carteron requested to sign five players in the next transfer window to reinforce the White Knights’ squad.

Abdullah said that the club will be looking to sign several players in different positions before the start of the new season.
