Zamalek board to impose sanctions on the players

Zamalek’s board of directors are set to impose several sanctions on the players, following the team’s 1-0 defeat against Tunisian Esperance in Matchday 4 of the CAF Champions League group stage.

Also, Zamalek’s board requested a detailed report from the team’s manager Patrice Carteron regarding the team’s condition and the reasons behind their defeat on Tuesday.

On a similar note, Carteron denied that there was a fight between the players following Esperance’s game.

He also added that he spoke with the players after the game, and told them he is responsible for the defeat.

Also, Carteron asked his players to fight on winning the upcoming games as they still have the chance to qualify for the next round.

Esperance are currently at the top of the group with 10 points, while Zamalek are in the third position with two points.
