Wydad Casablanca thrash Kaizer Chiefs in CAF Champions League

Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca achieved a 4-0 win over South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday in the CAF Champions League.

Mohamed Ounajem opened the score for his team in the 7th minute while Ayoub El Kaabi doubled the score for the Moroccans minutes before half-time.

In the second half, Wydad Casablanca kept their dominance and Simon Msuva made the score 3-0 while Yahya Jabrane added the fourth goal from the penalty spot.

Wydad are leading the group table with 6 points while Horoya AC come second in the group with four points.

Kaizer Chiefs are third in the group with 1 point while Petro Atletico are at the bottom of the group with no points.

It is worth mentioning that the game was played at Burkina Faso as the Moroccan authorities denied entry of the South African team amid COVID-19 restrictions.
