With a deadly goal … Abha snatched an exciting victory over Al-Ittihad in the Saudi League

Abha team achieved a fatal victory over
Al-Ittihad with a clean goal, in the match that was held this evening,
Thursday, in the thirteenth round of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman
Professional Cup League.

The Al-Ittihad team lost for the first time
after 11 rounds, in which he did not taste the loss, and is considered the
team’s second loss in the Saudi League championship, and the first since the
arrival of Egyptian international defender Ahmed Hegazy last summer from West Bromwich,
England.

Abha striker Carlos Strandberg succeeded in
snatching the winning goal, in the 88th minute of the match, to snatch the most
valuable three points from Al-Jawhara Stadium in Jeddah.

The referee dismissed Saud Abdel Hamid, the
right-back of Al-Ittihad, in the 20th minute of the match, while Brazilian
goalkeeper Marcello Grohe excelled, and managed to block a penalty kick in the
65th minute.

With this result, the Abha team raised its score
to 20 points in sixth place in the Saudi League table, while Al-Ittihad’s
balance was frozen at point 21 in fifth place.

It is scheduled to meet Al-Ittihad with Al Ain
next Tuesday, while Abha will face its host Al-Ahly in the fourteenth round of
the Saudi Professional League.
