Algeria to participate in FIFA Arab Cup with national players

The Algerian Football Federation (AFF) stated that Algeria will participate in the FIFA Arab Cup with national players only.

Sharaf Eldin Omara, the AFF president, said that the European teams will not let the Algerian players join their national team in the tournament, due to their overwhelming schedule.”

Omara added that he met Patrice Motsepe, the president of the Confedertaion of African Football, and submitted an official request regarding this issue.

Moreover, Omara said that he discussed several files with Motsepe and that he will announce them later.
