Vítor Pereira reflects on his experience with Al Ahli
Vítor Pereira, Al Ahli’s former coach, has featured in a TV interview and spoke about his experience with the Saudi team, which ended trophyless.
“I learnt a lot from my experience with Al Ahli, despite that it made me feel frustrated. I signed a long term contract with the team, and I do not like this, as I prefer to renew my contract year by year.”
“I terminated my contract with Al Ahli to avoid being frustrated. However, this helped me a lot in my experience in the Chinese league.”
“It was very hard for me to conduct any interview in a public place. I was always surrounded by the team’s fans, who always want to take a photo with me.”
Pereira coached Al Ahli in 2012-2013 and managed to lead the team to the Kings Cup final, but they failed to lift the trophy after they lost to Al Shabab.
