LA Galaxy’s head coach, Greg Vanney, stated that he wants to sign Italian winger, Sebastian Giovinco, from AlHilal of Saudi Arabia, to join him in his new journey with the MLS giants.
The 46-year-old American head coach said that he still in direct contact with the player, who played under his leadership in Toronto FC, adding that his family is still close to Giovinco’s family.
“It is a complicated situation. He’s a wonderful player. If things fell into place and worked out, maybe it’s something, but it’s really, really challenging. We’ll see.” Vanney said.
Giovinco wore Toronto’s jersey in 114 matches, having scored 68 goals and provided 52 assists. During his time with the MLS side, he led them to win the domestic double and guided them to the CONCACAF Champions League final in 2018.
