FIFA announces the ruling of Al-Ahly meeting against Al-Duhail, Qatar, in the FIFA Club World Cup

FIFA announced the appointment of referee Mario Escobar from Guatemala to manage the Al-Ahly match against its Qatari counterpart Al-Duhail, which will be held on Thursday, at the opening of the two teams’ road in the FIFA Club World Cup.

FIFA decided to appoint Escobar as referee of the arena and was assisted by his compatriot Humberto Pinoy and the Jamaican Nicholas Anderson, with the Lebanese Abdelkader Zitouni present as a fourth referee, while the Canadian Dario Fischer was present as referee for the video assistant technology, and was assisted by the Dutch Kevin Blume.

Al-Ahly will conclude today, Wednesday, its preparations to face Al-Duhail at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, Cairo time, at the Education City Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha, at the start of the team’s journey in the Club World Cup.

Al-Ahly is running its final training session today, Wednesday, at the Qatar University stadium, which has hosted the team’s training during the past period since its arrival in the capital Doha last Friday to participate in the World Cup.

It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly is participating in the Club World Cup, for the sixth time in its history, and has previously won third place and won the bronze medal.
