CAS allows Kheireddine Zetchi to nominate to FIFA Council member position

The Court of Arbitration for Sport cancelled the decision of the Review Committee of the International football association FIFA, which rejected the candidacy from Kheireddine Zetchi, the president of the Algerian Football Federation to become FIFA Council member. 

The Review Committee rejected the candinancy of Kheireddine Zetchi because of failing to report sanctions imposed by the Confederation of African Football. 

Following CAS’s decision, Zetchi will be eligible to nominate for the FIFA Council member position, in addition to Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of Morocco’s Royal Football Federation, the former president of Egyptian Football Federation Hany Abou Rida, and Gostavo Ndong.
