Cartabia shines to gift Shabab Al Ahli the UAE’s President Cup

Shabab Al Ahli have defeated Al Nasr 2-1 in the UAE’s President Cup to lift their 10th cup trophy at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

Shabab Al Ahli’s Fedrico Cartabia shined tonight and netted a sensational brace which handed his team the trophy by the end of the day. 

Shabab Al Ahli started the game with a high pressure, as they were keen to net the opener early. 

Cartabia broke the deadlock in the 44th minute to gift his team a 1-0 lead. 

However, Al Nasr managed to equalise the score as Mahdi Ebied converted the ball into the back of the net to make the result 1-1.

With 94 minutes on the clock, Shabab Al Ahli were awarded a penalty. 

With nerves made of steel, Cartabia managed to fire the ball into the back of the net to send his team to the winning podium.
