The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the appointment of the Algerian referee Mustafa Ghorbal for judging the final match of the African Champions League, which brings together the Egyptian football poles Al-Ahly and Zamalek, at nine o’clock Friday evening, which is hosted by Cairo International Stadium.

CAF decided to assign the match to the Algerian Ghorbal, after comparison with more than one other referee, as it was settled that he was present to manage the match, especially that he was one of the best referees in Africa.

Moroccan Radouane Gaid will manage the VAR’s room, while Gianni Sikkouzi will be the fourth referee.

Ghorbel previously managed a match for Al-Ahly in the 2017-2018 edition, and it was against Township from Botswana in the third round of the group stage of the African Champions League and ended in favor of the Red Team by winning 3-0.

During the course of the 35-year-old sieve, he used direct red cards 4 times during his matches, with 3 cards in the first leg and one in the second leg.
