Barcelona and Man United very close to agreeing a deal for de Jong

Frenkie de Jong is moving a little closer to owning Manchester United.

Sources close to the negotiations reveal that conversations have gone well in the last few hours and it’s starting to seem possible the Dutchman could move to the Premier League.

The deal would be for around 80 million euros, close to the price Barcelona were demanding for him. The Red Devils are entirely optimistic, and think it can be sealed by June 30.

The player still needs to give his yes to the operation and reach a deal with the Manchester club – where he will earn more than at Barcelona.

Erik ten Hag wants his former Ajax man back under his control at United. Pogba is leaving for free and that means there is space in midfield. De Jong has not been able to show all his talent at Barcelona and the club are willing to let him go and use the money to build their new project.
