Al-Shabab tops the Saudi League after defeating Abha

Al-Shabab won a precious victory over the Abha team, on Saturday, with a score of 2-3 within the sixteenth week of the Saudi Professional League in the match that was held at Al-Mahalla Stadium, southern Saudi Arabia.

Al-Shabab topped the Saudi League standings with 32 points after defeating Abha (temporarily) while awaiting the results of the other teams.

Al-Shabab opened the scoring first in the 55th minute through unmarked Igor Rossi inside the penalty area, and Argentine Guanca added the second goal for Al-Shabab team in the 57th minute after a double with Seba.

Abha narrowed the difference in the 61st minute by Tunisian Saad Bekir from a fixed ball, before Al Shabab added the second goal in the 69th minute by striker Seba.

And Saleh Al-Amri scored the second goal for Abha in the 71st minute, through a surprise shot from outside the penalty area.

Abha’s attempts to adjust the score were unsuccessful after reducing the difference, to end the meeting with Al Shabab winning 2-3.

Al-Shabab’s balance rose to point 32 in first place, while Abha’s balance stopped at point 21 in eighth place.

In the last meeting, a 0-0 goalless draw dominated the Taawon and Al-Faisali confrontation, which was held at Al Majmaah Sports City within the 16th week of the Saudi Professional League.
