Al Shabab’s Portuguese player Fabio Martinez said that he received an offer to join Turkish giants Fenerbahce and he was one of the players who have been on the radar of the club.
The Turkish club made big changes in the squad squad after signing 18 new players this season.
Martinez discussed the Turkish offer and why he changed his destination for Al Shabab.
“I received an offer to join Fenerbahce and stay in Europe. I accepted the offer and I wanted to play in Turkey as it suited my ambitions and also the Turkish fans live for football.”
“However, the Turkish club did not meet Braga’s financial demands. They did not want to pay for the loan and also their offer for me was not good.”
“Al Shabab paid to sign me and offered me one million Euros per year. They really appreciated me and I am happy to wear Al Shabab’s jersey.”
