Al-Ahly defeats Sunideb and qualifies for the group stage in the African Champions League

Al-Ahly of Egypt qualified for the group stage of the African Champions League, after defeating Niger’s champion Sonidep team in the role of 32, by beating it in the second leg, 4-0, which was held at Al-Salam International Stadium in Cairo.

Al-Ahly had won the first leg in the capital, Niamey, with a free goal through financial midfielder Aliu Diang.

Al-Ahly’s four scored by Taher Mohamed Taher in the thirteenth minute, then Walid Suleiman added the second goal in the 37th minute of the match, to end the first half with the Cairo team leading by two clear goals.

In the second half, Al-Ahly players continued to fully control the course of affairs, and the referee awarded a penalty kick in the 60th minute, scored by Moroccan Badr Bannon, Al-Ahly’s defender, to lead the team by three.

Al-Ahly took possession of the ball, amid a random attack by the Sonideb team, who appeared completely lost in the match, and seconds before the end, Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba” scored the fourth goal, confirming the ascension of the continental championship holder to the group stage.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will hold the Champions League draw on January 8th in Cairo, after the end of the 32nd round matches.
