Vladan Milojevic confirms his continuation with Al-Ahly and does not rule out training Serbia in the future

Coach Al Ahli Jeddah Vladan Milojevic spoke for RTS about his experience in Saudi Arabia, but also about speculations that he could become the selector of the Serbian national team.

After leaving the Red Star, Milojevic accepted the offer of Al Ahli Jeddah, and since the end of February last year, he has been leading one of the biggest clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Ahli currently in second place with two points less than the leader Al Hilal.

– Impressions are phenomenal from the moment I came here, considering that I did not really know the culture of these people, I can say that I am pleasantly surprised. I came to the club with a large number of fans. Indeed, we were phenomenally received – Milojevic started for RTS.

It has been about 10 months since Milojevic started working in Al Ahly, and as he states, the period of adaptation of both his professional staff and players – has passed.

– At this point, the dice are starting to come together. The players accept my requests… The most important thing for me is to get to know them as personalities, as people, and as footballers, it is easy for me to recognize them. I think we found some common imagine at this point. It is important to me that we play well, that we work well in training and that they accept my requests – said Milojevic.

When it comes to speculations regarding the selector’s place in the Serbian national team, Milojevic did not reject that possibility in the future, but now he is bound by a contract to Al-Ahli.

– I’m here in Al Ahli, so I have a contract. It would be unfair to say anything to the people in the club. So, my contract expires in June anyway. We’ll see, you never know in football. In the future, why not to be the coach of the Serbian national team.
