Zamalek to impose sanctions against Bencharki

Zamalek head coach Jaime Pacheco decided to impose sanctions against the team’s Moroccan forward Achraf Bencharki, following the team’s 3-1 loss against the Tunisian Espérance Sportive de Tunis.

At the time when Zamalek were searching desperately for the equalizer, Pacheco decided to replace Bencharki.

The decision did not go down well with the Moroccan forward, who was very angry at his coach’s decision, the thing which promoted the Portuguese coach.

A heated argument ensued between them in the dressing room, and Pacheco informed the club’s management to impose a sanction against the player and that he must rule out from the team.

On a similar note, the team’s assistant coach Medhat Abdelhady is about to be sacked from his position.

The club’s management studied this decision, following the 3-1 loss against Espérance Sportive de Tunis, as Mohamed Sabry, Osama Nabieh, and Sami El Sheshini are the closest to replace him.

Zamalek’s first-team delegation to Tunisia arrived in Cairo on Sunday, following their 3-1 loss against Espérance Sportive de Tunis in Matchday 3 of the CAF Champions League group stage.
