Ulsan Hyundai is champion of the AFC Champions League

The South Korean Ulsan Hyundai team succeeded in winning the AFC Champions League title for the year 2020, after beating the Iranian team Persepolis with two goals to one in their match at the Al-Janoub Stadium in Al-Wakrah Club in Qatar.

The Korean team’s coronation of the Asian title is its second in its history after the first coronation in 2012 at the expense of the Saudi Al-Ahly team. Thus, the Ulsan team has guaranteed its participation in the Club World Cup, which will be held in Qatar next February.

The Iranian team was the first to open the scoring at the 45th minute of the first half by player Mehdi Abdi after a defensive error from the Ulsan player before Ulsan equalized the score after the goal of the Iranian team one minute after following a penalty kick scored by Brazilian Junior Nigao.

In the second half, the Brazilian striker returned to Ulsan team, through a second penalty kick at the 55th minute, to give his team the lead, and the Korean team continued to advance until the end of the match and crowned the AFC Champions League title.
