The Draw settles Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad derby in the Saudi League

The match of the 18th round of the Saudi League between Al-Ahly and its guest Al-Ittihad ended with a positive draw for each team, so that each team scored a point from the match that brought them together on the reserve stadium of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, west of the Kingdom.

The first half ended with Al-Ahly advancing with a goal scored by Abdel-Rahman Al-Gharib in the 24th minute after Hassoun’s assist, and in the second half, the video assistant referee canceled a penalty kick in favor of Al-Ittihad at the 62nd minute, before defender Ahmed Hegazy awarded Al-Ittihad a draw at the 86th minute to prevent his team from being defeated in the derby.

The draw raised the Al-Ahly team’s record to 34 points in second place temporarily before the end of the round matches, while Al-Ittihad maintained fourth place with 29 points.
