Saudi King’s Cup starts from round 8

Saudi King’s Cup for season 2020-2021 will start with eight matches after reducing the number of clubs participating in the tournament, and limiting it to the Saudi Professional League clubs due to the delay in the launch of sports competitions due to the Corona pandemic, which affected the sports calendar in Saudi Arabia.

The round of 16 matches will be held on December 14 and 15, after the draw was held on Monday, in Jeddah, in the presence of representatives of the 16 clubs participating in the tournament.

Khalid Al-Thubaiti, Vice President of the Saudi Federation, thanked the wise leadership for the unlimited support enjoyed by the football and sports sector in general in Saudi Arabia, praising at the same time the continuous follow-up of His Highness the Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal and what the ministry offers Of great work and effort for the success of sporting events in the Kingdom.

Al-Thubaiti thanked Saudi Airlines, the football association’s partner, and the host of the draw ceremony, for the good organization and arrangement and all the staff from the Football Association.

 1- Al-Wehda x Al-Ittihad

2- Al-hilal x Al-Fateh

3- damk x Al- tawoon 

 4- Al-Qadisiyah x Al-Shabab

 5- al-Nassr x al-raed

6- Al-Ahly x Al-Ain

 7- Al-Ittifaq  x  Al-Faisaly

 8- Al-Batin x Abha

The head of the Competitions Committee, Naim Al-Bakr, explained that the draw for this year’s championship was open and without specifying levels between clubs, extending his thanks and appreciation to all clubs for their cooperation and wishing all success.
