New York Red Bulls take the contract dispute involving Kaku to arbitration

MLS
side, New York Red Bulls, said that the Paraguayan midfielder Alejandro Romero
Gamarra, known as Kaku, is still under contract with the club and he did not
have the right to sign for another club.

The claims of the MLS side come despite Kaku’s second participation with Al
Taawoun in the Saudi Professional League.

Kaku played his second match in Al Taawoun’s jersey on Monday against Al Wahda
and he also scored his first goal for the Saudi club.

On a similar note, the US club had asked the U.S. Soccer Federation to not
release Kaku’s International Transfer Certificate (ITC), which was needed for
the move to Al-Taawoun to go through.

The player, who represented his country in five matches, joined the Saudi club
this February after spending three seasons with New York Red Bulls.
