Lee Young-pyo reflects on his tenure at Al Hilal

Al Hilal’s former player, Lee Young-pyo, featured in an interview and spoke about his time at Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia.

Young-pyo stated that he faced several difficulties during his tenure with Al Hilal, especially on the social levels.

The South Korean defender said that the lifestyle in Saudi Arabia was different from his homeland.

Also, he said that his nutrition plan depended mainly on the vegetables, unlike in Saudi Arabia as they usually prefer to eat meat.

Young-pyo said that this caused a problem for him and this was the worst part of his experience with Al Hilal.

Young-pyo joined Al Hilal in 2008 on a free transfer and he managed to lead the Saudi giants to win two league titles and one cup title, before leaving to Vancouver Whitecaps in 2013 where he hanged his boots.
