JS Kabylie beat Coton Sport… Orlando Pirates drawn against ES Setif

JS Kabylie of Algeria defeated Coton Sport of Cameron 2-1 on Sunday in Matchday 5 of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.

In the 63rd minute, Redha Bensayah netted the opener for JS Kabylie to make the result 1-0. The Algerian side kept their pressure and after five minutes, Walid Bencherifa bagged the second goal to give his team a comfortable 2-0 lead. 

The minutes went on and Coton Sport upped their pressure, but JS Kabylie stood their ground and kept their net clean.

In the 89th minute, Francis Tombi scored his team’s only goal in the game, but it was not enough to save the day for Coton Sport. 

JS Kabylie is currently sit at the top of the table with 9 points. 

On a similar note, Orlando Pirates were held to a goalless draw against ES Setif in Matchday 5 of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage. 

Orlando Pirates sit at the top of Group A with 9 points and they are close to secure their qualification to the quarter-finals.

Moreover, Pyramids FC defeated Nkana at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Wednesday. In the 78th minute, Abdullah Said scored the winner to lead his team to the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
