Belaïli to pay €1.5m to Al Ahli Saudi

Al Ahli’s former Algerian player Youcef Belaïli is set to pay compensation of €1.5m to his Saudi club,  as a result of terminating his contract illegally.  

The issue started when Belaïli refused to join his team’s training sessions after the return of the sport activities amid the COVID-19 pandemic,  despite that his Saudi club offered him a private plane to travel on it.  

Belaïli then moved to the Qatari team Qatar SC,  which urged Al Ahli to file a complaint against the Algerian in order to get a compensation of €1.5m.
