Al Ahly resume training on Tuesday

Al Ahly’s head coach Pitso Mosimane led Al Ahly’s training session on Tuesday at El Tetsh stadium after he returned from his vacation in South Africa. 

The head coach gave Al Ahly players a 5-day rest following the team’s victory over AS Vita Club in the CAF Champions League. 

The Red Eagles returned to training to start their preparations for the game against Al Merrikh SC in Matchday 5 of the CAF Champions League group stage.

Also, Al Ahly coaching staff, led by coach Pitso Mosimane promoted players from the youth team to train with the first team.

The youngsters who joined Al Ahly’s first-team training are Mohamed Hossam, Mostafa Elias, Mohamed Ashraf, Ahmed Ashraf, Ahmed Sayed Abdelnaby, Walid Mostafa, Hassoun Mohamed, Amr Rizk, Ahmed El Shamy, Ahmed Sayed Gharib, and Ahmed Nabil Koka, Ahmed Tarek Soliman, and Hamza Alaa. 

Moreover, Al Ahly’s head of medical staff Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla stated on Tuesday that the team’s winger Walid Soliman is fully fit and ready to participate in the upcoming games. 

Dr. Abu Abla added that Soliman is fully recovered from his injury and he is ready to support the team in the journey to Sudan to face Al Merrikh SC in Matchday 5 of the CAF Champions League group stage.

Also, Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla revealed that he is in direct contact with the Tunisian national team doctor, Dr. Suhail El Shemali, to follow the updates of Ali Maaloul’s injury. 

Dr. Abu Abla added that Maaloul’s condition will be evaluated when he returns from Tunisia before joining the team’s full training. 

Morover, Al Ahly’s head of medical staff, Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, stated that Mahmoud Wahid is set to return to the team’s full training after three weeks.

Abu Abla said that Wahid is currently performing his rehabilitation program, to recover from his injury.

Wahid picked up an injury in his hamstring muscle, which forced him to be sidelined from the team.
