Abdallah El Said to pay Al Ahly $2 m fine

The Settlement and Arbitration Center have obliged Abdallah El Said, Pyramids FC Player,  to pay $2 m fine to his former club Al Ahly.

El-Said had left Cairo giants Al Ahly in the summer of 2018 after signing to their arch-rivals, Zamalek, before extending his deal with the Red Devils.

As a result of his action, Al Ahly had sent the player out on loan to Finnish club Kuopion Palloseura, before selling him to Saudi club Al Ahli for a fee of around €850,000.

El Said’s contract included a main clause , which stated that he is not entitled to join any Egyptian team throughout the period of his contract with Al Ahli Saudi, and in case of violation, the African champions shall receive $2M.

However, the player had terminated his contract with the Saudi club and joined Pyramids on a free transfer after just six months, which violated the contract’s aforementioned clause. 

Following his move to Pyrsmids, Al Ahly took all the needed  actions to save their legal and financial rights. 

Almost one year later, the Settlement and Arbitration Center have condemned Abdallah El Said and obligated him to pay Al Ahly $2 m fine.
