Etoile du Sahel await FTF’s approval to announce new signings

Tunisian superpower, Etoile du Sahel, are close from officially announcing the signing of Algerian duo, Tayeb Meziani and Houcine Benayada.

Meziani and Benayada joined the L’Étoile after terminating their contracts with Espérance and Club Africain respectively. Etoile du Sahel requested to register both players, who joined the club in a free transfer, and the club is awaiting the approval of the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF).

Etoile du Sahel are facing a difficult situation in registering  Zinedine Boutmène as the player’s former team,
Club Africain, believe that they still own the player’s contract.

Boutmène used his right on one-sided termination of the contract with Club Africain and filed a complaint against the club to the FTF over unpaid dues.

The player also filed a complaint to FIFA against his former club, which makes the player’s situation more complicated and makes his transfer to Etoile more difficult.

On the other hand, Etoile players, Iheb Msakni and Hamza Lahmar are still suffering from muscle injuries and they will not be fit for the team’s upcoming clash against Eswatini’s Young Buffaloes, scheduled on Sunday in the CAF
Confederation Cup.
