Zamalek defeats Al-Ittihad of Alexandria and temporarily leads the Egyptian League

Zamalek team won an important victory over its counterpart Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, with two clean goals, in the match that was held this evening, Sunday, within the twelfth round of the Egyptian Premier League competition, which was held at Cairo International Stadium.

With this result, Zamalek raises its balance to point 26 in the first place, while Al-Ittihad’s balance stopped at the eleventh point in the eleventh place.

Zamalek began the match with intense pressure since the referee Ibrahim Noureddine blew the whistle, and Ammar Hamdi saved the opportunity for the first goal for the White Knight in the 11th minute, then the Ivorian Razak Cisse, the Al-Ittihad player, was sent off directly in the 24th minute after violently interfering with Tariq Hamed.

Despite the numerical shortage, Zamalek did not succeed in conceding the net of Al-Ittihad in the first half, and the leader of the gap also failed to visit the net of Mohammed Abu Jabal, to end the half with a goalless draw.

In the second half, Zamalek pressed hard in search of progress, which he had already achieved with a penalty that Saif El-Din Al-Jaziri scored, and Ahmed Sayed Zizou scored successfully in the 60th minute, to lead the owners of the land with the first goal.

In the 77th minute, Youssef Obama succeeded in doubling the score for Zamalek with a wonderful header, with which he received the cross of Imam Ashour from the right front, and Khaled Qamar almost reduced the result in the 86th minute of a header that passed next to the left post of Muhammad Abu Jabal, to end the match with Zamalek winning with two goals to none.

In another match, the Ghazl El-Mahalla team snatched three precious points from the tusks of Wadi Degla, after they managed to win with a clear goal, which Abdo Yahya scored in the tenth minute of the match that was held today at Al-Salam Stadium within the twelfth round of the League.

With this result, Mahalla’s balance rose to 14 points and rose to ninth in the league table, while the Tigris Valley’s balance stagnated at 7 points in the last place of the competition.

The Mahalla players showed well since the start of the match and were able to score the goal in the tenth minute from a perfect cross from the left side, which Abdo Yahya scored easily in the goal of Mohamed Abdel Monsef, degla goalkeeper.

Then Degla players tried to build some attacks in order to reach the equalizing goal, which was met by a tight defense from the Mahalla players who built some counter-attacks that represented a danger to the Daglawiya goal.

In the second half, Degla players pressed a lot, but the brilliance of the Mahalla defense prevented the equalizer from being scored, farmers won their second consecutive victory.
