Zamalek sweeps Egypt, clearing by four, and tops the Egyptian League

Zamalek team won an important victory over its Egyptian counterpart, Al-Maqsat, 4-1, in the tenth round of the Egyptian Premier League competition, which was held Thursday evening at Petrosport Stadium in Cairo.

With this result, Zamalek raised its tally to 23 points to stand alone at the top of the general league table, beating Al-Ahly, who ranked second by two points, while the clearing balance was frozen at 13 points.

Zamalek began to score through its Moroccan striker Ashraf Bencharki, who scored a penalty kick that he got in the 14th minute, and minutes later, Youssef Ibrahim “Obama” scored the second goal after being alone in the clearing goal.

In the second half, Zamalek was able to score two more goals, through Ashraf Bencharki in the 62nd minute, then Youssef Obama added a fourth goal for the Whites in the 76th minute, after he received a ball from Shikabala with the heel of the foot, and dodged the clearing defense and put it in the net.

While Marwan Hamdy scored for the clearing in the 80th minute of the match, reducing the score in favor of Zamalek to 4-1, and the match ended with Zamalek’s return to the top of the Egyptian League.

In another match, Talaia Al-Jaish club managed to beat its counterpart Al-Ahly Bank with two clean goals, in the match that was held today, Thursday, at Al-Shurta Sports Stadium.

Al-Jaysh’s two goals, Ahmed Samir, scored in the 45th minute of the first half, while Amr Gamal, the team’s striker, added the second goal in the 74th minute.

With this result, Al-Jaish reached the tenth place with 10 points, while Al-Ahli Bank is ranked ninth with 8 points.
