Zamalek rejects Ahmed Eid’s departure and ends the Petrosport stadium crisis

Zamalek technical staff rejected the idea of loaning Ahmed Eid, the right-back, to any club during the current winter transfer period, after the player received several official offers in order to obtain his services, in light of the lack of reliance on him mainly.

Eid, the 20-year-old, had been promoted to the first football team of Zamalek, in the middle of last season, and he appeared very well, and he succeeded in obtaining the confidence of the White Club officials, who signed a professional contract with him for five seasons to come.

The young player received an offer from the Ismaili Club to obtain his services on the loan system until the end of the current sports season, but Jamie Pacheco, Zamalek’s coach, informed the club’s management of his refusal to leave, and adhered to maintaining him, especially in light of the pressure of matches, whether locally or continually.

Despite Ahmed Eid’s welcome to join the Ismaili ranks in order to participate in the matches, especially that the competition with Hamza Mathlouthi and Hazem Imam is not in his favor, but Pacheco insists on his survival.

Last season, the player participated in 18 matches in the Egyptian League, Egypt Cup, and the African Champions League, and made one goal, but in the new season, he did not mainly participate so far.

On the other hand, Petrosport Sports Stadium agreed to host the Zamalek match against El Gouna in the eighth round of the Egyptian League competition, as club officials’ communications succeeded in holding the match on the stadium.

Petrosport Stadium officials had previously refused to host the Zamalek matches, due to Zamalek coach Jaime Pacheco’s statements against the poor playing field earlier.

After attempts by the Zamalek management, the Petrosport stadium administration agreed to host the Zamalek meetings.

Zamalek will face El-Gouna on Monday evening at five in the evening Cairo time, in the eighth round of the Egyptian League competition.
