Zamalek keep pressure on with win over MC Alger

Egypt’s Zamalek achieved an important victory on Saturday, as they defeated MC Alger 2-0 in Matchday 5 of the CAF Champions League group stage. 

Zamalek kept their qualification hopes to the CAF Champions League group stage alive following today’s win,  as they will be looking forward to achieve another victory against Senegal’s Teungueth. 

Zamalek’s Youssef Obama scored the first goal in the seventh minute, while Shikabala bagged the second goal in the 35th minute to give his team a comfortable 2-0 lead. 

Zamalek are currently in the third position with 5 points, while MC Alger are in the second place with 8 points. 

However, Esperance are at the top of the table with 10 points and they secured their qualification to the quarter finals,  despite their loss to Teungueth.
