Zamalek defeats El Gouna with a clean goal and snatches the top of the Egyptian League

Zamalek team won a precious victory over its counterpart El Gouna with a clean goal, in the match that took place between the two teams this evening, Tuesday, within the eighth round of the Egyptian League Championship, which was hosted by Petrosport Stadium in Cairo.

Zamalek scored the goal, Youssef Ibrahim “Obama” in the tenth minute of the match, after he shot a strong ball with his left foot, to land the El Gouna goalkeeper Islam Tariq, who failed to deal with it.

After the goal, El Gouna tried to equalize, but stopping the defense of Zamalek served as a strong barrier to all the attacks of the coastal team.

Meanwhile, Ashraf Bencharki, the Zamalek player, missed a valuable opportunity after he was alone in the goal of El Gouna. The most dangerous balls were from Mahmoud Abdel Razek’s “Shikabala” side, who hit a strong ball in the second half with his left foot, but it went to a goal kick.

With this victory, Zamalek’s balance rises to point No. 19 at the top of the Egyptian Premier League table, while El Gouna’s balance stops at point 15 in third place.

Zamalek succeeded in snatching the top of the league from Al-Ahly, whose score stopped at the 17th point, after a negative draw in the last match against Al-Ahly Bank.
