Wydad beaten by Kaizer Cheifs in CAF Champions League

Wydad fell to a 1-0 defeat by Kaizer Cheifs on Saturday in a game that saw the Amakhosi reduced to nine men.

In the 48th minute, Bernard Parker scored the only goal in the game to keep his team’s chances of qualifying to the CAF Champions League quarter-finals alive.

During the game, Wydad’s players missed several chances as Kaizer Chiefs’ defenders managed to keep their net clean.

Also, the referee showed his red card twice in today’s game, as he sent off Kaizer Cheifs’ Daniel Akpeyi and Samir Nurkovic.

However, Wydad have already booked the first qualification ticket to the second round, despite today’s loss.

Following today’s victory, Kaizer Cheifs are in the third position with 3 points while Wydad are at the top of the table with 10 points.
