What will Laurențiu Reghecampf add to Al Ahli Saudi?

Al Ahli Saudi announced the appointment of Laurențiu Reghecampf as the team’s new head coach
until the end of the season, after sacking Vladan Milojević.

Reghecampf has a lot of challenges with his new team, as Al Ahli are currently in the seventh position in the Saudi Professional League (SPL) due to the team’s poor performance and results.

In this report, Xenia Sports will discuss the three main challenges that Reghecampf must deal with in the
upcoming period.

Lead the team to the winning ways:

Since the beginning of the second half of the season, Al Ahli dropped many points. The team finished the first half in the second place, but due to their poor performance, the team lost the title race and they were placed in the seventh position

Also, Al Ahli set an unwanted record this season, as they lost five consecutive games in the SPL
for the first time in the club’s history.

Qualifying to the AFC Champions League:

Al Ahli will be looking forward to securing their spot in the top four, as they aim to reach
the third position.

Al Ahli aim to book a qualifying position to the AFC Champions League, especially after they were knocked out from the King Cup.

Reghecampf’s mission will not be easy, as Al Ahli are seven points behind Al Ittihad, who
are currently in the third position.

The Romanian will be looking forward to winning all the upcoming games in the SPL, in order to keep his team’s chances to qualify to the AFC Champions League in the next season.

Controlling the dressing room:

Al Ahli suffered a lot of issues since the start of the current season, which affects a lot on the
players’ performance.

Reghecampf will face another challenge, as he must control the dressing room and to handle all
his players very well, in order to lead his team to the wining ways again.
