UAE League: Sharjah survives the Fujairah ambush … and Khor Fakkan tied with Al Ain

Shabab Al-Ahly team continued its brilliance in the last period under the leadership of its coach Mahdi Ali and succeeded in achieving a victory over its guest Ittihad Kalba with two clean goals in the meeting that brought them together in the 14th round of the UAE League championship, achieving its fifth victory in the league and the fifth in a row in all competitions.

Mohamed Jumaa “Pele” opened the goals for Shabab Al-Ahly in the 28th minute, and Majid Hassan added the second goal in the 30th minute of the same half.

With this result, Shabab Al-Ahly raised its score to 22 points in sixth place, while Ittihad Kalba’s balance stopped at the 19-point station in ninth place.

In the second match, Khor Fakkan imposed a 2-2 draw against its guest Al Ain in the match that took place between them today, Saturday, at Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium.

The goals of the match were scored by Khorfakkan Ismail Al Hammadi (in the 25th minute) and Dudu (in the 68th minute), Al Ain Shiotani (in the 40th minute), and Laba Kodjo (in the 60th minute).

The tie raised Al Ain’s balance to 24 points in fourth place, with a goal difference from Al Nasr, while Khor Fakkan, who continued to present his distinguished performances, raised his score from points to 15 points in 11th place.

In the third match, Al Wasl Club deserved victory over its counterpart Bani Yas, 2-0, and Al Wasl scored the goals of Nasser Nour and Ali Saleh in the 67th and 81st minutes.

Al Wasl raised his score to 20 points in 8th place, and Bani Yas’s balance stopped at 26 points in third place.

In the fourth and most important match, Sharjah continued its lead in the Arabian Gulf League, after its difficult 3-2 victory over Fujairah, in the 14th round of the competition.

Sharjah goals, Caio Fernandez in the 38th minute, and Igor Cornado scored two goals, in the 54th and 61st minutes, from a penalty kick, while Samuel Armintros scored goals in the 67th minute from a penalty kick and Alvaro de Oliveira in the 81st minute.

Sharjah raised its score to 35 points at the top of the standings, five points ahead of Al Jazeera, and Fujairah stopped at seven points in the penultimate position.
