Tottenham’s clash with Crystal Palace is set to be the next Boxing Day game postponed following a Covid outbreak in the Eagles’ camp.
Three matches have already been called off – the most recent being Burnley vs Everton – as well as a number of EFL matches.
And Football London reported Palace had recorded two positive test results in their backroom staff – after Vieira confirmed a small number of cases among the players on Friday.
It is thought the Eagles held back on travelling to their hotel on Christmas Day until they got a response from the Premier League – with an official announcement expected imminently.
Speaking on Friday, Vieira admitted he was ‘worried’ about the current situation and the impact on his players’ welfare.
