Top 5 players in the 21st week of Saudi Professional League

Following the end of the 21st week of the Saudi Professional League, the table standings did not change. Al Shabab are at top of the league’s table, while Al Hilal and Al Ittihad came in the second and third places respectively.

Looking through the games, several players were in their best levels and managed to guide their teams to achieve important victories.

We have picked up the best 5 players in the 21st week of the SPL:

Abullah Al-Mogren (Al Raed FC)

Al-Mogren managed to be the first Saudi player to score a hat-trick in the SPL in this season.  As a result of his phenomenal performance against Al Ain, he guided his team to be in the 12th place, away from the relegation zone.

Mustafa Malayekah (Al Faisaly FC)

Malayekah was included in this list as a result of his great performance against Al Ahli Saudi, as he led his team to pull an impressive comeback.

The Saudi Arabian goalkeeper made three brilliant saves and prevented Al Ahli’s striker Omar El Somah from scoring 3 goals. He also saved a penalty and guided his team to the third consecutive win in this season.

Aleksandar Prijović (Al Ittihad)

The Serbian striker became the 10th player to score a hat-trick in the SPL this season, following his impressive performance against Al Qadsiah.

Prijović’s brilliant hat-trick sends his team to the third place.

Salem Al-Dawsari (Al Hilal)

Al-Dawsari was not among the starters against Al Fateh, but he joined the game as a substitution in the second half.

Al-Dawsari scored a brilliant brace in less than 30 minutes to keep pace with Al Shabab in the first-place battle.

Odion Ighalo (Al Shabab)

Ighalo managed to score a brace against Damac to cement his team’s position at top of the SPL table and keeping his team 5 points ahead of second place.

The ex-Manchester United star was about to score a hat-trick in the game, but his third goal was ruled out BY VAR due to offside.
