The Egyptian youth team match against Tunisia in the North African Championship was canceled

The Medical Committee of the North African Football Association refused to hold an Egyptian youth team match against its Tunisian counterpart, due to the lack of recognition of the negativity of some players in the Egyptian national team.

The Egyptian national team was scheduled to face its Tunisian counterpart today, Friday, for the second round of the qualifying matches for the 2021 African Nations Championship in Mauritania, and the match did not start on the date set for it, which is 3 pm Cairo time.

The North African Federation medical committee refused to hold the match due to a crisis regarding the legal number to play the match (11 players and 4 substitutes, including a goalkeeper), as the committee refused to acknowledge the negativity of Ahmed Nabil “Coca”, the Egyptian youth national team player.

The North African Federation and the Confederation of African Football considered “enough of the Egyptian team to be a legal loser in the first match against Libya, to confirm the return of the Egyptian youth team to Cairo, in light of the difficulty of completing the tournament due to the many infections with the Coronavirus.”

Although the Egyptian players earlier adhered to completing the tournament despite the many difficulties, it seems that the circumstances were not in their favor after the number of injured reached more than 17 players, since the start of the current tournament.
