Slumbing Al Ahli collapses in 3-1 loss against Damac

Damac defeated Al Ahli Saudi on Saturday 3-1 in the 22nd week of the Saudi Professional League at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium. 

Damac starting line-up for the match consisted of: Moustapha Zeghba – Mansor Hamzi – Abdullah Al-Ammar – Sergio Vittor – Farouk Chafaï – Bader Munshi – Domagoj Antolić – Arif Al Haydar – Waleed Al-Enezi – Emilio Zelaya – Constantin Budescu. 

Al Ahli starting line-up for the match consisted of: Mohammed Al-Owais – Lucas Lima – Mohammed Al-Khabrani – Mohammed Al Fatil – Abdullah Hassoun – Nooh Al-Mousa – Ali Al-Asmari – Driss Fettouhi – Sultan Mendash – Abdulrahman Ghareeb – Omar Al Somah. 

Al Ahli took the early lead in the first half as Ghareeb scored the opener in the 13th minute. 

In the second half, Damac pulled an impressive comeback in 12 minutes only. Hamzi scored the equalizer in the 55th minute, and then in the 59th minute, Zelaya netted the second from the spot. 

In the 67th minute, Zelaya added his second goal of the game to make the result 3-1 and to give his team a comfortable lead. 

After tonight’s impressive comeback, Damac reached 20 points at 15th place, while Al Ahli stayed at fourth place with 35 points.
