Shabab Al-Ahly Dubai rose to the semi-finals of the President’s Cup, after beating al-Emirates with two goals to nil, in the quarter-finals at Rashid Stadium in Dubai, today, Tuesday.

Shabab Al-Ahly hits a highly-anticipated semi-final date with Bani Yas, who was past Al-Wasl in the same round.

Shabab Al-Ahly achieved their first victory under the leadership of their new coach, Mahdi Ali, after losing their first match under his leadership in the tenth round of the Arab Gulf League against Fujairah.

Mohamed Jumaa “Pele” scored the first goal for his team in the 43rd minute of the first half and made the second goal for Igor Jesus in the 76th minute of the second half.

Brazilian Igor succeeded in scoring the second goal for Shabab Al-Ahly after a cross pass from Pele, and al-emirates defense and goalkeeper Ali Saqr missed in dealing with the ball, reaching an easy gift to Igor deposited by the goal, scoring the goal to confirm victory in the 76th minute.

It is noteworthy that Shabab Al-Ahly Dubai is the titleholder of the last edition in which the championship was held in the 2018-2019 season before a decision was made not to complete the competitions of the last edition due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
