Saudi clubs seek to appoint foreign referees

The Competitions Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation decided to put a limit on the foreign referees who will officiate games in the Saudi Professional League.

The committee stated that the clubs have the right to assign 50% of their games to foreign referees, but they must pay the full costs.

Also, the committee decided that any club must submit their request 16 days before the match, to have the time to appoint the referee.
