Ronaldo ‘major doubt’ vs Crystal Palace amid fears celebration resulted in injury

Cristiano Ronaldo is a major doubt for Ralf Rangnick’s first game as Manchester United boss.

The Portuguese star is suffering with a knee issue and could miss Sunday’s clash with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo was hauled off in the latter stages of his side’s 3-2 win against Arsenal on Thursday night.

He scored a brace, including the winner from the penalty spot, but there are concerns that a knee injury may have been sustained when the 36-year-old did his trademark ‘Siu’ celebration, reports the Sun.

Ronaldo was able to play on after celebrating before he was taken off.

He was still able to run down the tunnel following his withdrawal.

A weekend absence would be a blow to Rangnick however, who is looking to get off to the best possible start and quash any ideas that Ronaldo cannot fit into his plans.
