Raja rule out Mahmoud Benhalib

Raja’s board of directors decided to rule out the team’s striker, Mahmoud Benhalib, and to conduct an investigation against him after he refused to travel with the team to Tanzania.

Benhalib informed the team’s head coach, Lassaad Chabbi, that he is injured and will not be able to join the team on their trip to Tanzania, ahead of facing Namungo in CAF Confederation Cup. Chabbi did not like that action and he decided to rule out the player from the first team.

Raja are set to face Namungo in Matchday 5 of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage on Wednesday. 

The Moroccan giants currently sit at the top of Group D with 12 points, Namungo are at the bottom of the table without collecting any point.
